About Annie B
Annie B has been making meaningful contributions to the music scene all over the U.S. for years in the various bands and projects she’s been a part of since she first picked up the guitar.
The prolific, award-winning singer/songwriter Annie B was inspired by an old recording she heard on the radio at a young age of The Beatles performing “All My Loving”. You could hardly hear The Beatles…. you could mostly hear the screaming girls. It was then that she decided she needed to play music when she grew up.
Offerings from the artist reflect on relationships and heartache, personal struggles, lessons learned, and tongue-in-cheek commentaries about life in the 21st century.
Nominated Best Singer/Songwriter and Female Vocalist for the WAMI & Shepherd Express Best of Milwaukee Awards, she’s played Summerfest, The World’s Largest Music Festival® numerous times, as well as many other festivals and summer concert series throughout the area. Since the beginning of her career in the mid ‘90s, she has released 9 CDs with her various projects, and has been heard on college and commercial radio stations all across the U.S. In 2005, her Los Angeles-based alternative rock band Shut Up Marie, a staple on the Sunset Strip club scene from 1999-2005, charted on airplay charts alongside major label acts, and her most recent Milwaukee-based band toured all over the U.S. several times from 2014-2017.
Notable appearances for her latest project includes various festivals and summer concert series, numerous television, radio, and press highlights for the band, including Annie on the cover of HERLIFE Magazine, and a full-length CDs garnering airplay all over her home state. Annie has also been hired to co-write and record songs for submission to major label acts, and she’s had her songs placed in productions for television and the big screen. She continues to tour periodically with her acoustic act, and with her band. She’s served as producer & host of an innovative arts showcase series & her own music festival, and she also served as co-producer and co-host for the North Coast Songwriters Showcase, a monthly event featuring original artists from the Milwaukee Area and beyond.
Annie’s latest effort and the 10th CD of her career, a 12-song alternative album was co-produced by acclaimed musician Josh Christian and mixed by Billboard-charting Joel Wanasek. The project is scheduled to be released in early 2024 through Firerock Music Group, and then the artist plans to begin a vigorous touring schedule.
